Joakim is a researcher and teacher at the Div. of Combustion Physics. Since 2004 he has established a research program based on picosecond spectroscopy and applied molecular spectroscopy.

Background

Joakim received his MSc in Engineering Physics from Lund University in 1995. He received his PhD in combustion physics in 2000, working with Prof. Per-Erik Bengtsson on development and application of rotational CARS for combustion diagnostics. Between 2001 and 2004 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Sandia National Laboratories, California, USA, working with Dr David Osborn and Dr Andy McIlroy on development of NICE-OHMS for ultrasensitive spectroscopy of combustion radicals. Since 2004 he has been a researcher and teacher at the Div. of Combustion Physics at Lund University, where he has established a research program focused on picosecond spectroscopy and applied molecular spectroscopy.
